Here's a fact most people don't know:
Ottawa incumbents win re-election almost every single time. And only about 4 in 10 eligible voters actually show up to vote.
Incumbents tell people what they want to hear, because their job depends on it.
I tell people what's true, because mine doesn't.
I'm a data analyst and project manager I don't run on impressions, I run on the record. And the record shows a system coasting on low turnout, not real accountability.
I've committed to serving one term. I'm not here to build a career. I'm here to fix a structure that's been broken for a long time.

4: OPS Board Oversight

The city's own auditor found the Ottawa Police Service's internal auditing isn't robust enough to catch misuse of its own databases. That finding sat there.
Nobody on the Police Services Board treated it as an emergency.
A police force that can't audit its own records isn't accountable — it's just unaudited.
I'm a trained data analyst.
This is a solvable problem — anomaly detection on access logs is standard technology. It's not being used here, and that's a choice, not a limitation.
I've committed to one term on council, because I'm here to fix what's broken, not manage it indefinitely.

5: East-End Interprovincial Crossing (Kettle Island)
My name is Peter Karwacki. I'm running for Ward Rideau-Rockcliffe.
This is one of the clearest differences between me and the incumbent.
The federal government is now doing soil testing for a new bridge at Kettle Island — $221 million committed to preconstruction alone. This isn't hypothetical anymore. It's happening.
Council overrules ward-level objections 16 to 9, every time.
So the real question was never whether Rideau-Rockcliffe could stop this bridge. It's whether we show up and shape it — or get shaped by it.
Councillor King has opposed this project. I think that's the wrong call.
Thousands of trucks a day are already cutting through downtown streets like King Edward and Rideau — this crossing is how we get them out.
Ward 13 sits closer to this project than anyone. That should mean we're leading the design and mitigation conversation, not standing on the sidelines saying no to something that's already funded and underway.
I've committed to one term on council — because my job is to lead on this file, not manage decline on it.
