In 2022, the Ottawa Police Services Board underwent significant restructuring following the "Freedom Convoy" occupation, resulting in two distinct lineups. Initially led by Diane Deans and Sandy Smallwood, the board was reconstituted in February/March 2022 with Eli El-Chantiry (Chair), Jeff Leiper, Cathy Curry, Suzanne Valiquet, Michael Doucet, Salim Fakirani, and Peter Henschel.
