New Bridge at Aviation Parkway

The Federal government, currently in disarray has once again announced a new interprovincial bridge.

Much to the chagrin of Overbrook residents of Manor Park this project is much needed and in my opinion will ultimately proceed.

For some, this proposal keeps coming back like a bad rash.

Residents complain of pollution transfer but people are getting killed and injured at the corner of King Edward and Rideau.

Think!

"About 3,500 trucks cross the Ottawa River on a typical weekday, according to the National Capital Commission's interprovincial truck survey released this year. About 72 per cent use the Macdonald-Cartier Bridge, which dumps traffic into Lowertown."

Get those semis out of downtown, support the bridge and find a way to make this project work for Ottawa by getting ahead of the design issues especially at the Montreal Road, Aviation Parkway intersection.

STEPHANIE Plante, councillor has said, ""We know that it is unacceptable to have truck traffic going down one of the most low-income and racialized communities of Ottawa's downtown core"

Cop 24 - committee of the parties

Much is discussed and lamented about climate change.

The claim is that fossil fuels are the source of CO2 that is heating the planet.

Little is mentioned, or if mentioned derided, of the suppression of technolgy that would obviate the use of fossil fuels.

Why? $$$$.  If you were invested in oil, XON, CHX you would want every drop of oil to be extracted, drill baby drill, before publicizing other sources of power.

The recent congressional hearing in the US confirmed the existance of unexplained aerial phenomena uap's.

This got little coverage in the media but with youtube, x, meta and other social media it is easily found.

Most are more concerned about daily life, hockey or Taylor Swift.

Still it is no longer possible to ignore the fact that uap exist and that these use an energy source that makes these cop discussions irrelevant.

What is the sigificance to municipal politics?

Our current leaders are simply not up to the challenge of dealing with the existence of such technology.

In effect they are stuck in old ideas and old ways...they do not know what a real emergency looks like.

There is more evidence as to the exixtence of uaps and their universal energy source than there is evidence of human induced climate change.

The biggest impact on the city of Ottawa will be the ultimate reveal, possibly in the next few years, of the new reality that we are not alone in the universe and that our fixation on power and money has been made irrelevant.

How to be a politician

You have to be able see... what can be!

Unburdened by what has been!

Of course you also have to thank a union memba!

In the upcoming municipal election one of the big issues is probably unimportant because the incumbents, all of them, who usually win, no matter how bad they are, will focus on issues that are not even discussed at the time of the election.

People will look at the lawn signs and say "oh yeah, they did well enough".

Finally when the taxes go up and people really start feeling the effects of taxation, stagnation, inflation and humiliation will finally make a change. That time is not now.

How to shake things up at city hall

When I ran... I described this as "asking tough questions"

According to Ron Benn, in his Bulldog polemic challenge staff.

1. Challenge them for incomplete reports.
2. Challenge them for leading council by the nose to the staff recommendation.

3. Challenge staff for not thinking outside the box.

4. Challenge staff for not being open to outside input.

Do not fear being perceived to be not supportive of staff. Of being perceived as challenging staff to do better. Understanding of the role... Oversight of staff.

 Well done Ron!
